So you want to make a Wanted Poster. There are a few online sites that can help you out:
Here are a few tips and tricks you need to know:
You need to keep the file size down and a good way to do that is to turn your image into black and white. In Photoshop, you do that by selecting Image > Mode > Grayscale. Dropping the color from your image will reduce the file size and also give it an older feel, lending credibility to the overall Wanted Poster effect.
If you crop the image as closely as you can around your subject’s face, you’ll not only further reduce the file size, but you’ll have a better finished product without extraneous background imagery competing with your main subject.
You may want to double-check your text by first typing it into a word processor like Microsoft Word and running spell check. It doesn’t seem like a big deal, but believe me, when you misspell a word and it’s there for all time in big text on your wanted poster, you’ll wish you’d checked it first.
I noticed that browser choice may inhibit which wanted poster website you use, so you may want to try out the various recommended sites in different browsers. I had the most success using Firefox over Chrome, which would sometimes not allow certain optional selections when using the online wanted poster applications.
Good luck and good bounty hunting!
